About Jeff Kipp

In 2019, I formed Civic Push Consulting after spending 20 years in non-profit leadership roles in community development and economic development. My work has been focused on urban revitalization and advocating for the continued development of Cleveland’s neighborhoods. Across all previous roles, I have had the privilege of working within the civic sector while engaging with residents, visitors and those seeking to locate in Cleveland. Throughout my career, I have led hundreds of tours for individuals and groups, showcasing the region’s livability, assets, landmarks and gems, and facilitated stronger connections within our community. Civic Push specializes in marketing, communications and talent attraction. In I was named Executive Director of the Living in Cleveland Center. After leading that civic marketing nonprofit for 14 years, I worked with community partners to complete an important merger forming Cleveland Neighborhood Progress. I served as Director of Neighborhood Marketing for that community development intermediary and led its innovative marketing and communications agenda for six years. Spanning these two leadership positions, I led all LiveCLEVELAND! neighborhood marketing campaign activities from 2007 until 2019. I am an advocate for the city of Cleveland and for urban neighborhoods. For the past two-and-a-half decades, I have served in executive leadership roles and my professional responsibilities in marketing have ranged from grassroots promotions to large scale marketing & communications efforts. I maintain a personal and professional mission to contribute to the revitalization of urban neighborhoods and am committed to achieving population gain in the city and our region. My professional experience includes marketing and communications, civic marketing, neighborhood branding & marketing, neighborhood economic development, program management, leadership development, talent attraction, nonprofit governance and public speaking.Career Highlights- founder of the LiveCleveland! neighborhood marketing campaign (2007)- co-creator of Cleveland Chain Reaction (2017)- creator of Vibrant City Awards Lunch (2015)- Board Chair for Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation (20••••13)- Founding Board member of The Land (2020); Past President (20••••23) and Acting Executive Director (2023)- member of Cleveland’s media & public relations team for the Republican National Convention (2016)- Greater Cleveland Community Shares Volunteer of the Year (2012)- presenter to numerous national & international audiences
