I save businesses money through strong leadership, targeted logistics strategies, and innovative solutions. I’ve always loved a good challenge. Throughout my career, I’ve been challenged to learn new industries and develop expertise in logistics and customs for many types of products and business models. I’ve had to create new and strong business relationships with internal business partners as well as external partners including Freight Forwarders, Carriers, Warehouse Operators, Co-Manufacturers and Customs Officials. Along the way, I’ve learned how to generate tremendous support from colleagues and associates across the entire supply chain by being an honest and approachable leader who manages with empathy and commitment. Directly leading teams as well as managing projects and functions by leading cross-functional teams has required flexibility, imagination, and focus. The diverse products that I have handled for domestic and international logistics have presented unique and never-ending challenges. My teams and I have saved our companies a lot of time and money by developing and implementing processes that reduce inventory, warehousing, and shipping costs. Over the course of my career, I’ve had to dramatically expand my comfort zone. While my experience has always revolved around Operations, Warehousing, Logistics, and Freight, I’ve managed Accounts, managed Customer Service, and managed Warehouses. As I’ve grown, I’ve taken on expansion projects, learned to effectively lead teams, negotiate with supplier and freight partners, and evaluate and qualify vendors. Along the way, I’ve become well versed with required import and export documentation, notifications, and registrations as required by Canadian, US, and international standards. I’ve successfully tackled these challenges by being calm under pressure, maintaining an open mind, working hard, with high energy, and being honest and ethical. Basically, I’m reliable and I keep my commitments.
