As an architect that specializes in healthcare design my goal is to understand my clients \"project drivers\" so that I can work collaboratively with them to develop measurable improvements related to operations, staff and patient experiences, staff retention, code compliance and cost. I enjoy the ability to work with my clients and ensure that they are fully involved in developing their \"vision\" and experiencing the \"Wow\" when they occupy their completed project.Healthcare design has many challenges, and needs to allow for flexibility in this ever changing world. Code requirements are continually being upgraded, expensive medical equipment often times sets the stage for the environment around it and the design needs to be able to adapt. Hospital design must promote LEAN concepts of operational improvement and be open to new trends in the industry. It needs to embrace the ever changing world of technology so that care givers can work smarter and have more time with their patients. The final design needs to be your Design, and your Vision. My goal is to be able to guide you through the process to get you there. My specialties cover the full spectrum of healthcare design and include: space planning, layout and development, phased renovations, Imaging, cardiology, OR suites, ambulatory surgery centers, patient room design, emergency departments, medical office/clinic, health and wellness centers, and skilled nursing.
