Proven health care executive with 25 years of experience of developing programs, leading change, driving financial performance and sustaining a culture of LEAN thinking. Serving as the Vice President of Support Services & Planning for a dynamic and fast growing Federally Qualified Health Center-one of the largest in the nation. In my current position, I have:• Led a significant expansion of mental health services resulting in a positive net margin for the program, and the Family Health Centers becoming the largest provider of outpatient behavioral health services in the county.• Designed and implemented an array of specialty clinical services which previously were not provided within the organization. These included: cardiology in east and central San Diego County, dermatology, hepatology, radiology, sports medicine, chiropractic care and physical therapy.• In 2019 developed and implemented a full-risk, all-inclusive senior program- Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Oversaw the establishment of the day center, needed specialty and hospital contracts, Medicare Part D application, and development of a continuum of care and services for this program for seniors with chronic care conditions. Previously served as the CEO of the VA San Diego Healthcare System- a complex, diverse healthcare organization with a large research enterprise. This VA is recognized as one of the best VA health care system in the nation.
