ABOUT JEFFERY REECE

Culture strategist. Educator. Emcee. Professional asker of uncomfortable questions.I work at the intersection of culture, leadership, and human behavior — whether I’m partnering with employees inside organizations, presenting at a conference, or standing in front of a classroom full of students who can smell inauthenticity from three rows back. Different audiences. Same truth: people want honesty, clarity, and to not be talked at.With more than 20 years in Human Resources and Higher Education, I help organizations and learning environments move past performative culture work and into the messy, human stuff that actually changes how people experience work and learning. Leadership development, employee experience, inclusion, onboarding, recognition — if it involves people, feelings, or a meeting (or lecture) that could’ve gone very differently, I’m probably in it.I’m known for translating complex, uncomfortable topics into conversations employees can engage with and students can actually remember — without panic, defensiveness, or seventeen follow-ups to “circle back” or “review the syllabus.” Humor lowers defenses. Honesty clears the air. Discomfort usually means you’re closer to the point than you think.I’m a survivor and a storyteller who doesn’t confuse silence with professionalism or politeness with progress. Whether I’m working with leaders, employees, or students, I speak up, name the thing, and invite others to do the same — even when it’s awkward, even when it’s unpopular, and especially when everyone else is pretending the air is fine.I believe great culture — in workplaces and classrooms alike — isn’t built in mission statements. It’s built in everyday moments, honest conversations, and people brave enough to sit in discomfort for five whole minutes. Also, I own more themed blazers than any reasonable adult should, and at this point I’ve accepted that this is both a personality trait and a teaching tool.
