Worked under Mechanical Engineering PhD Candidate Lin Liu, who is advised by Professor Kevin Lynch. An omnid consists of a mecanum-wheel omnidirectional mobile base and a series-elastic Delta-type parallel manipulator. Multiple omnids can collaborate together to manipulate a payload in free space. The goal is to identify task parameters that influence the suitability of direct haptic interaction versus teleoperation to perform such assembly tasks. My work- Developed motion capture data collection OptiTrack-to-ROS2 interface for teleoperation control- Programmed Omnids\' battery monitoring feature- Designed and fabricated PCB using CNC Carvera, documented process for future Northwestern MSR students and PhD students- 3D designed protective microcontroller case
