About Jeff Crowell
Throughout my years as a camera operator, the majority of work has been in the reality and documentary field. Starting off with my HVX in San Francisco, the home of indie documentary productions laid, my foundational skillset in run and gun filming that eventually brought me to Los Angeles. While there I worked on a blend of short film, advertising and documentary content, that broadened my skillset in to both narrative and documentary content creation. After being on myriads of shoots, and learning the ins and outs of what does and does not work, I found I had accumulated the knowledge and skill that has me best fit directing a production. I specifically sought out acting training, not for being in front of the camera, but primarily to learn how to work with talent and fluidly pull the best performance out of them possible. I am currently focusing on creative content for Advertising, Web, and Startup, while still enjoying my love of documentary / reality filming projects.
