Jeff is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor. He brings a wealth of experience in launching, funding, scaling, and successfully exiting software companies. With notable M&A transactions to Calabrio (Thoma Bravo), Bitfone, HP, Google, Apple, and Opera Software, Jeff possesses a strong track record in navigating the unique challenges of commercializing emerging technologies.Prior to joining GreenSky Ventures as a Managing Partner, Jeff was the founder and President of Wysdom, an artificial intelligence software company that was successfully acquired by PE firm Thoma Bravo (Calabrio) in January, 2024. Before Wysdom, Jeff was the founder and CTO of Storage Appliance Corporation (Clickfree), where he led the software, product, and manufacturing teams to develop a series of automated computer backup devices, resulting in over a million units sold and generating over $100 million in revenue. Previously, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and CTO at Bitfone Corporation, where he was responsible for Engineering and Professional Services across the company’s Mobile Device Management product portfolio. While at Bitfone, he also established a successful 100+ person development team in Beijing, China. Bitfone was acquired by HP in 2006 for $160 million.Earlier in his career, Jeff was the founder and CTO of Mobile Diagnostix Inc, where he oversaw the architecture and implementation of SmartCare, a customer care and remote diagnostics tool for mobile service providers. Mobile Diagnostix was acquired by Bitfone Corporation in 2004.Jeff holds 30 issued patents in the artificial intelligence, wireless, and consumer electronics spaces. He is a skilled presenter, communicator, and technology evangelist who speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, and conversational French. He is an active angel investor and serves on the boards of a number of technology companies. Jeff resides in Toronto, Canada.
