ABOUT JEFF ZIMMERMAN
Jeffrey Zimmerman is counsel to MMPS and the Chairman of the Trusts & Estates department. He frequently works with young families to address their current estate planning needs and plan for future earned or inherited wealth. He also consults with and implements plans for high net worth individuals to help them achieve personal goals while also leveraging their gift, estate and generation-skipping transfer tax exemptions. In his Trusts & Estates practice, Mr. Zimmerman works as part of his clients’ financial team, advising individuals and families over the course of time as their needs grow and change. He drafts estate planning instruments designed to specifically address his clients’ needs, including wills, revocable trusts, insurance trusts, dynasty trusts, health care proxies and powers of attorney. He counsels clients on issues of asset protection, business succession, charitable giving and education of children and grandchildren.Mr. Zimmerman also represents and advises clients in the purchase, sale and refinance of residential and commercial real estate in New York and Connecticut. He also draws on his extensive litigation experience to advise clients on employment, contract and commercial matters, as well as provide consulting services to institutional investors.
