About Jeff Williams

My grandfather was a pilot, an “explorer,” if you will. My dad was a tinkerer, a master of design and teacher of all things mechanical. My mother was the first woman in her family to go to college. So it’s no surprise I’m driven by innovation, problem solving, and storytelling. With an engineering background, I like to think I’m technically inclined: I\'ve had many problem-solving opportunities with varying amounts of complexity. But customer-centric innovation has become my passion. There is no better feeling than finding a solution that exceeds your customer’s expectations. Literally helping your customer sleep better at night. And I’ve learned a lot along the way. I have learned- That what the customer says they need and what they really need are often different but not dissimilar- That not being satisfied with 640% YoY growth in a newer customer is OK- That new ideas can be found in unexpected places. And developing those ideas on long flights home can yield great results- That you don’t have to manage people to be a leader in your organization- That most everyone has big ideas, but the ability to filter those ideas, drill down to the best one, and execute on that idea is what separates good from great organizations. The ability to do this quickly is reserved for the best organizations- That preparation is key. Set a timeline, set expectations, and drive on those expectations. Learn from your mistakes AND your successes- That sustainability doesn’t have to mean “sacrifice.”- To trust my gut but make decisions based on data.That’s enough about me.
