Chief Executive Officer authorized to direct the business of the council as well as supervise all Scouting activities within the geographic jurisdiction of the Abraham Lincoln Council-Work in partnership with the volunteer board and under the authority of Council Executive Board and report to the Council Board President-Make sure council operates in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Boy Scouts of America, directly responsible for the employment and personnel actions of all council employees-Direct an annual plan of action and provide leadership to the entire Abraham Lincoln Council which encompasses 3 districts spread across 9 counties in Central Illinois serving over youth-Give leadership to a staff of 7 Scouting Professionals and 2 Camp Property Caretakers-Maintain a working relationship with the President and Council Executive Board to effectively grow membership and raise the necessary funds to provide for a sustainable fiscal council, annually over a $1.2 million dollar operating budget and total of $17 million in net assets-Lead the staff and volunteers in compliance with Boy Scouts of America policies including annual charter visits that are made to heads of Charter Partner Organizations to assure quality leadership and program.
