GE Transportation is now Wabtec.Leader of the Product Safety & Compliance for the Decarbonization Technology Development of Lithium Ion Batteries and H2 product applications. The product portfolio ranges from Locomotives (Heavy Haul and Switcher), Off Highway Vehicles, Hybrid and Marine applications. At the heart of Product Safety is the focus on hazard identification with effective and sustainable mitigations. Development of Hazard Logs, Product Safety Plans, Safety Cases (Generic & Application Specific), Hazard Assessments, Fault Trees, Knowledge of Industry Standards, Regulatory alignment and Mitigation Verification are the core fundamentals. Based on my deep and broad technology background I have the ability to marry the Safety fundamentals across all aspects of the product lifecycle. Focus and diligence on Product Safety will certainly create a true product differentiator for the customer.
