About Jeff Stetz
My goal is to apply my 20+ years of research experience and lifelong education to improve conservation and management of wildlife populations. Having worked at the nexus of research and management with NGOs, tribes, academia, state and federal management agencies, corporations, and private citizens, I understand how challenging sustainable management is, and how invaluable partnerships and transparency are. Research needs to address the questions truly relevant to conservation management and not be swayed by fads, hype, or politics. The tools exist, but need to be applied appropriately and with integrity if we want to maintain the confidence of the public while being successful with conserving our natural resources.
