   Collaborating with senior leadership and an amazing compensation team to develop and implement the Functional Job Classification Initiative countywide. The initiative will standardize King County’s 1600+ career classifications across nine separate departments by integrating three distinct programmatic areas into one cohesive classification system. Area’s of intersection are a redesign of the current career classifications, development of an enterprise skills matrix and assessment tool and establishing a process and countywide standardized approach to market benchmarking for all position within King County government. This program crosses the multiple lines of strategic planning including Best Run Government and Investing In You and it is my role to ensure all efforts stay in alignment with these strategies while not adversely impacting separate lines of business. Duties Include: Program development and implementation. Design of individual project’s scope, schedule and budget. Managing highly visible, politically sensitive and complex written and oral communication to stakeholders, elected officials and labor partners. Problem solving, conflict resolution, negotiation and driving multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams towards project objectives. Managing day-to-day actives around milestone completion and project management phase gates for all efforts. Providing governance and oversight to individual department teams that support overall programmatic success.
