Mr. Reed\'s over 38 years of engineering experience (all of which have been in solid waste management) have focused primarily on the design and permitting of landfills, including cell design projects. He has managed or directed over 200 landfill design and permitting projects across the U.S. His areas of expertise have included storm water management, erosion control, hydrogeologic/hydraulic analysis, landfill design, landfill permitting, geosynthetic lining and cover systems, landfill leachate control, and construction quality assurance (CQA). His experience with various aspects of landfill design (alternative liner designs, leachate collection systems, construction plans, permitting requirements, landfill closure and post-closure plans, etc.) will prove instrumental for projects at the landfill. Mr. Reed has presented expert testimony at permit hearings in support of a landfill expansion application. He has managed engineering offices, design teams, as well as multi disciplinary teams, on small and large solid waste projects. Mr. Reed is a member of SWANA and ASCE, and is a registered professional engineer in nine states.
