ABOUT JEFF NOEL

For more than two decades, I have influenced profitability and performance by marketing, commercializing, and managing a wide range of agricultural seed varieties and hybrids—including wheat, sorghum, corn, soybeans, dry beans, millet, and grasses. In my current position as Director of Husker Genetics (formerly the Foundation Seed Division) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, I balance organizational leadership and people management with key roles as Commodity Board Liaison and Industry Liaison. A few years ago, I served as Interim Assistant Director of the Agricultural Research Division and Nebraska Agricultural Experiment Station. My successes in these leadership positions can be attributed to my firsthand experience in this industry, which started at the ground level, as co-owner and general manager of a grain farm in Kentucky.Over the years, I have built a long list of personal relationships in agriculture, higher education, corporations, and government. At the same time, I managed complex commodity, intellectual property, and quality issues to take my employers (Hopkinsville Elevator Company, Wilfarm, and Land O’Lakes) into new markets for greater profitability and impact.Whether I am restructuring organizations, revitalizing teams, or uncovering new opportunities to maximize value from newly developed seed varieties or hybrids, I am driven and passionate about my work—and committed to success.
