ABOUT JEFF MENDELSOHN
My 25+ years of professional experience span law, legislation, politics, foreign policy advocacy, relationship building, team management, and Israel education/travel. Beginning as a corporate litigator, researching and writing on complex multi-jurisdictional cases, I spent 12 years as chief of staff to two Hispanic members of Congress from Texas, managing staff and overseeing the legislative agenda. I then launched and led an initiative at AIPAC to engage and educate diverse constituencies, including the Hispanic, African American and evangelical Christian communities, on the U.S-Israel relationship, building relationships with hundreds of leaders across the United States. I later co-founded and ran Pro-Israel America which, along with an affiliated PAC and SuperPAC, created a new online political giving portal, built a grassroots membership of people and raised more than $7M to help elect pro-Israel candidates. These experiences have helped me hone a range of skills, including: project design, initiation and management, writing and editing for impact, speaking to diverse audiences large and small, interacting with the media, hiring and managing diverse staff, fundraising and budget oversight, navigating the legislative process,lobbying members of Congress and staff,working closely with diverse communities,understanding election law and regualtions, developing and implementing campaign strategies, and online advertising, acquisition and fundraising.
