   I advise and counsel employers on matters relating to leaves of absence; COVID-19; race, sex, age, religion, national origin and disability discrimination and harassment; wage and hour compliance; non-competition and trade secrets; disability accommodation; and employment-related torts. While I have litigated cases across the country in all areas of labor and employment law with great success, my primary goal when helping employers is keeping them out of the courtroom. I accomplish this goal by guiding employers through their day-to-day employment decisions and issues such as hiring, discipline, termination, employee pay, leaves of absence, accommodation of injuries and illnesses. When decisions are legally sound on the front end, they are less likely to be challenged in court, and if they are, they are easily defended. I also provide regular training on employment matters such as harassment, interviewing, documentation, and union avoidance, to further bolster employers’ ability to avoid litigation. I have been Board Certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2002. I represent employers of all sizes, from small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies, with the same no nonsense, practical and straight-forward approach to addressing the labor and employment law issues that they encounter.
