   Qualified Inspection Services (\"QIS\") is a Texas based third party residential consulting, inspection, and energy modeling firm founded in 1987. QIS has earned a reputation for accuracy, honesty and integrity in the home building and lending industries. Staff includes engineers, ICC certified code inspectors, state licensed real estate inspectors, and home energy raters. QIS assists builders by monitoring homes during construction, training superintendents and trades, and understanding and communicating code related issues and how they affect new construction. The primary goal is to help builders construct better quality homes while at the same time lowering the number of callbacks and warranty claims, thereby reducing after-sale costs.Energy Smart is a nationally accredited Energy Star provider. As such, Energy Smart provides independent plan analysis and inspections services for new homes to qualify under the guidelines of the federal ENERGY STAR Homes Program. Energy Smart evaluates heating, cooling, and hot water energy use, as well as the home\'s major appliance loads, and models how these items interact with the new home\'s building envelope. Energy Smart’s experience in providing over certified Energy Star homes, earning the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Leadership in Housing Award for the past 13 years brings confidence in our ability to provide full certification and applicable incentives as available.
