About Jeff Martinez

In review of the lessons I have learned throughout the 30 years of serving as a sales professional, I have learned to appreciate how experience, mentorship and challenges in my personal life and as a sales professional have shaped my ideals and values. My gratitude for the mentors, leaders and peers I have been fortunate enough to become acquainted with throughout my career and life, is deeply engrained. My experiences have also taught me to put a higher value on the challenges than the victories.A great mentor along the way said this to me:\"Two ears and one mouth; use them proportionately.\" It taught me how listening leads to understanding and understanding is a bridge to empathy. I have learned how empathy and candor are invaluable in pursuit of reaching our own goals and being part of a successful sales team. My experiences as a son, a brother, a partner, a girl-dad, a stepdad, a musician, and even a (not-as-much-as-I’d-like-to) golfer have all had guiding impacts during my journey. The successes are there but I have learned the failures and mistakes are opportunities to hold myself accountable, allowing me to grow as a person and not to be selfish with the lessons. I attribute my successes to all of the aforementioned and have become very adept at knowing when to “lead, follow or get out of the way.” I have done all three with pride and conviction, regardless of position, task at hand, or the company I keep and in most cases to the benefit of myself and those around me.
