ABOUT JEFF MALLOWS

I’m a versatile consultant previously employed in a customer facing role for the Business Growth Service/Manufacturing Advisory Service, for which I developed and delivered around 200 business improvement projects for manufacturing companies. I undertook my own regional business development activity through commercial research, networking, presentations, workshops and referrals. Prior to this role I worked on the LDA’s Knowledge Connect programme, scoping approximately 50 ERDF grant aided collaborative projects involving business, research and university partners.My original career was in the manufacturing sector, project managing design and development in a range of technology intensive sectors including defence equipment, scientific instruments and office electronics. I’ve taken products from concept through to production in a number of multi-million pound international developments requiring collaboration and coordination in multicultural environments, and so have a tacit understanding of the complexity of high value manufacturing activities.I’ve received two academic awards during my qualifications in mechanical engineering, project management and business, and have the aptitude to apply my knowledge to a variety of commercial situations in a practical manner. My consulting work is focused on guiding companies through the selection of business opportunities that achieve the maximum financial gain.
