Manage, direct, and coordinate the operations and maintenance activities of the City\'s Park Division, which includes 70 developed and undeveloped parks, facilities, and trails. Develop and manage park operations and maintenance budget, and manage all activities including staff and equipment. Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff (63 employees). Develop and implement long-range and short-range maintenance and care schedules for parks and facilities including grounds and equipment; assist with long-range plans for renovations of existing parks and construction of future facilities. Conduct research; prepare surveys; interpret results for use in planning, evaluation, and decision-making; continually monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery, assess workload, report relationships and opportunities for improvements within the services and facilities managed and maintained by the Divisions; and implements improvements as needed. Collaborates with recreation division staff to develop guidelines for sports field usage and maintenance. Meet with contractors, consultants, and staff members to discuss progress and work products; monitor and inspect projects to ensure compliance with contract specifications; manage warranty items and improvement projects, oversee the maintenance of parks and facilities, equipment, and grounds. Manage operations, activities, and services; ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; coordinate the establishment and review of program and services policies; ensure adherence to safety and risk management procedures; and initiate actions to correct deviations or violations as necessary.
