ABOUT JEFF KAPLAN

Jeff Kaplan has served in the fields of health care and higher education administration for four decades. His career has included stints at The Ohio State University in several capacities from Graduate Assistant Football Coach to Senior Vice President and Executive Officer of The Ohio State University to Adjunct Professor in the University’s Moritz College of Law. He has had responsibility over the years for areas as diverse as medical center administration/business development, fundraising, advancement, athletics, communications, student life, legal affairs, human resources, public safety, administration & planning, admissions and trademark & licensing, among others. He has also served as Executive Vice President of two major healthcare systems in Nashville, TN (the Baptist Hospital System and St. Thomas Health), as Chief Administrative Officer of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center and as Senior Vice President at USHealth/Ohio Health & Riverside Hospitals in Columbus. Earlier in his career, he worked as Director of Admissions and then assistant to the President at the University of Vermont. He has served as a consultant for several higher education and major health care organizations including Syracuse University, Nationwide Children\'s Hospital, and others. In May of 2019 he was named by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University.
