Field Service Engineer for Shimadzu Scientific Instruments in the New Jersey Territory. Responsible for servicing Shimadzu HPLC and Spectroscopy product lines including UHPLC/HPLC, Prep LC, LC/MS, TOC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and Fluorescence units. Prior to joining the NJT Region I was a Field Service Engineer for the Northern California Office of Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. I got my start with Shimadzu Scientific Instruments as a Product Specialist at Shimadzu Scientific Instruments in Columbia, MD. Was responsible for supporting service and sales engineers in the field when it comes to the use of the various product lines in the field of molecular spectroscopy; specifically FTIR, UV/VIS and fluorescence. In addition to supporting my colleagues in this field I also supported the marketing division to promote the use and understanding of the capabilities of the instruments offered by Shimadzu Scientific Instruments. I earned my Masters of Science in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Arizona in May of 2009. I focused on the inorganic/organic synthesis and characterization of semiconductor nanoparticles with their incorporation into solar cells using physical vapor deposition techniques.Specialties: Atomic Force Microscopy, Microscopy Imaging (SEM/STEM Hitachi S4800), Ultrahigh Vacuum systems (XPS/UPS and PVD), Absorption Spectroscopy, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, Infrared Spectroscopy, chemical separation (UHPLC/HPLC, GC, GC-MS, TLC), electroanalytical methods (e.g. Cyclic-Voltammetry). Other specialties include management, presentation skills, marketing, safety, and teaching.
