ABOUT JEFF HAGEN

Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me. When I was younger I spent my life trying to be perfect. I’m a slow learner so it took me until I was 40 to realize that may NOT be possible. I make a lot of mistakes. Ask anyone. Luckily, I’ve been able to learn from a lot of my mistakes and become a better person in business and in life. I love sports. There’s something magical about competition, keeping score and declaring a winner. Perhaps it’s because I grew up playing sports that I love working with others towards a goal. I’ve learned that a small group of passionate people can do a lot. We consistently beat large groups of people with more money. In fact, that’s one of the reasons I enjoy my job. I really enjoy making a difference. I started my career at a large company and quickly realized I needed to join a smaller firm so I could make an impact. We’ve built training programs that have helped hundreds of people start new careers. We’ve impacted countless children though our work in Rotary, Growing Futures, Happy Bottoms and many others. I feel very fortunate to have had the experiences I’ve had in business and in life. And I enjoy sharing those experiences to help others. When I’m not working, one of my favorite things to do is smoking some BBQ with the kids. It’s an activity the whole family can be involved in and enjoy the results. The neighbors know when they smell the food to cancel their dinner plans, so they can join us. A few years ago, I was invited to a charity shoot and got hooked on shooting sporting clays. My Dad and I get out as often as we can now. There is something peaceful about a walk in the woods while blowing up clay pigeons.
