Since 1995 I have worked in the Intellectual Property Department at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL. My original assignment was technical specialist supporting prior art searching and patentability assessment. Passed the USPTO Patent Bar Exam in I have written and prosecuted literally hundreds of US and foreign patent applications over the last twenty seven plus years. My responsibilities have included a wide variety of agricultural, paving and earthmoving machines as well as technologies that support these machines. My job roles have included patent analytics as well as complex clearance issues. My current role is a special assignment supporting Caterpillar\'s carbon emission reduction technologies with an emphasis on electrification.
