Assistant Vice President, Academic Development and Major & Planned Giving @Gonzaga University

As the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Academic Development and Major and Planned Gifts, I am responsible for working with the provost, deans and other academic leaders, and the vice president of university advancement to advance the funding priorities for the academic units in support of Gonzaga\'s overall goals and strategic plan. This includes dean fundraising planning, progress tracking, ideation development, training and overall external fundraising plan management. As AVP, Academic Development I take lead in the strategic oversight and management of resources engaged in development, donor relations, and alumni relations for the academic areas. I also serve as a principal gift officer, responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major and planned gifts of and above to Gonzaga University, working with individuals, foundations and corporations in fulfilling institutional priorities. In my current role, I supervise the major gifts and planned giving teams. I am responsible to oversee all budgeting, gift and fundraising strategies, and mentoring of team members. Our team works to raise funds for: The School of Leadership Studies, The School of Nursing and Human Physiology, The School of Law, The School of Business Administration, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, The School of Education, The College of Arts and Sciences, Foley Library, and Gonzaga in Florence.
