   In my current role, I support real-time energy traders by delivering hour-by-hour and day-ahead weather forecasts, with a specific focus on solar and wind generation across the Columbia River Basin. These forecasts are critical for helping traders quantify expected renewable energy output to make informed market decisions.In addition to forecasting, I’ve developed several analytical tools using Pi Vision and Seeq to enhance situational awareness and operational efficiency. These include: • Four regional wind maps, featuring individual turbine plots, to provide real-time geographic insights into wind conditions. • A dashboard with 20 time series charts to monitor real-time wind and solar generation across 18 renewable energy assets. • Additional time series plots to track real-time wind patterns and temperature gradients across the Columbia River Gorge and Basin, helping quantify their impact on renewable energy output.These tools have become integral to our team’s ability to visualize and interpret renewable generation trends in real time.
