ABOUT JEFF DEGROOT

From an early age growing up in Central Alberta, I was excited tagging-along with my dad to work. Whether it was on our family’s pig farm, my uncle’s pig farm, a beef feedlot, or installing equipment for an ag dealer – as I grew older, through working with my dad, I became more attached to and passionate about the farming industry as a whole. I pride myself on being detailed and accurate in my work. Since the start of my career in the agricultural industry in 2008, my duties have included- Helping with on-site installation of equipment in hog and poultry barns - Performing all warehouse tasks and related shipping/ receiving duties - Being responsible for purchasing, from office supplies to multi-million dollar projects - Full cycle accounting and everything related to bookkeeping for small business - Setting up a new ERP and migrating everything (and everyone) to a new system and process - Managing a small team to keep warehousing and general operations running smoothly I have a good understanding of what happens behind the scenes of a small / medium sized business. I’m obsessed with staying organized and making everyone’s life easier while optimizing the time and workflows related to the tasks that need to get done. When I’m not at work, I’m at home being the best dad I can be to my 4 daughters and 2 sons alongside my amazing wife, Nicole. We were married in 2012 and have lived in BC since 2013.
