I enjoy helping people understand finance through data and by building innovative, high-impact tools that can help accomplish that goal. One of my dreams is for every high school and college senior to be able to graduate with a personal financial plan and to help others optimize the many financial decisions they are likely to face.I co-founded Troutwood and invented the software applications Stock Market Time Portal, Buy Sell Hold, the flagship Troutwood App, Total Financial Picture, a streak and financial health assessment mechanism called FinPulse, a quiz system, wellness checklist system, and a system of AI behavioral nudges and quantitative triggers powering a mascot called \"Finn\". For another project, Map of the Markets, I created a novel data visualization system for the global equity markets, including API mapping and writing the underlying algorithms. I also worked extensively on a behavioral finance assessment mechanism called Finmoji, the development of Troutwood Pro, open-finance / Plaid integration, and Troutwood’s Enterprise Portal.Separately from creating and overseeing project management of Troutwood’s core products, I developed strategic plans and financial models for the business, worked closely with counsel on IP protection, recruited the CTO, CRO, EVP of Product, Lead Software Engineer – Frontend, and served as a company lead for collaborations with Carnegie Mellon University\'s MSE program and MHCI program on special projects.In June 2024, I stopped working to enjoy time with my wife and young family. Though no longer active in the company, it has been fun watching these tools have a positive impact on thousands of lives and watching the company and team members grow along with them. I highly recommend Troutwood!
