Industry Key Accounts Manager - Fitness and Material Handling (Distribution Sort Centers)
Oct 2015 — Present · Logan, UT, US
I am dedicated to the fitness segment of Habasit belting, allowing me to work directly with treadmill OEMs to create a partnership between the two companies. My past experience has taught me that a true partnership allows for faster innovations, problem solving, and better products. I am using this knowledge to try to communicate these benefits and accelerate the improvements that we can offer to the OEMs. This also allows me to work directly with all of the OEMs instead of relying on area salesman that has fitness as a very small part of their total sales. This specialization and dedicated resources as well as the full system design expertise that I bring, gives Habasit a huge competitive advantage over our competition. With my 18 years of experience working for a fitness OEM, I know that there are many factors that contribute to the success of the drive system of a treadmill. This includes the design of the motor, controller, walking board, rollers, belt, and environmental factors. I understands that if our belts need to last as long as possible, I need to control as many of these factors as I can. We happy to say that we have teamed up with a leader in treadmill walking board and belt roller manufacturing. We have worked with these manufactures to engineer these components to match with our belt to give a lower COF, higher MOR/MOE, decreased amp draw, prolonged life, lower noise, and minimal wax transfer to rollers. We also have exciting new projects that could change the way treadmills are designed in the future. Some of my responsibilities include national sales, business development, marketing, technical support, customer service, product management, and engineering. I am now excited to be now supporting warehouse and distribution centers for Amazon, Walmart, UPS, and FedEx and their suppliers for their conveyor belting needs.
