ABOUT JEFF BURTON

I’m a senior construction and engineering leader with a track record of taking complex, high-stakes problems and turning them into clear, executable plans that deliver results. My background spans engineering, project delivery, construction, and operations, with accountability for P&L, safety, client engagement, delivery, and business outcomes. I’ve led diverse teams of 20+ direct reports with broader responsibility for organizations of 50+ in close partnership with operations, finance, and executive leadership. My role has often been to operate in environments where execution matters and ambiguity is high.A defining chapter of my career has been enabling large, complex delivery systems to scale through repeatable processes. I’ve focused on creating clarity where work was previously fragmented, establishing consistent planning, execution, and reporting practices that improved predictability, reduced risk, and allowed teams to perform without constant escalation. The outcome wasn’t just better delivery, but stronger leaders and organizations that could sustain performance as they grew.I am a leader who works to bring out the best in people. I’m often thanked for mentorship and for supporting my teams during difficult moments and when mistakes happen. I believe strong performance comes from trust, clear communication, and leadership that shows up when it matters most. From my own leaders, I value the freedom to do my job, along with honest feedback and guidance. I work to create those same conditions for the leaders and teams I support.Looking ahead, I’m interested in senior leadership roles within organizations that are eager to grow, improve how they operate, and take on meaningful challenges. I’m open to roles that involve optimization and hands-on problem solving, while supporting sustainable performance and balance.Outside of work, I’m an athlete, explorer, and coach. Those pursuits reinforce the discipline, resilience, and perspective I bring to leadership.Good leadership in construction and engineering, to me, means building trust and communication in ways that improve results and proactively prevent errors.
