From outhouse to penthouse. I\'m that guy who started in the computer industry way back in 1979 as a non-college graduate warehouse manager, who had someone see something in me that I never saw as a potential salesperson, and take a chance on me. Opportunity Rocked! I took the ball and ran with it. Never liked \"rainmaker\", as I always preferred \"mercenary\". Landed three of the top ten Fortune 500 accounts, which ended up buying millions of dollars of hardware annually in the late 1980\'s, and then through the mid-1990\'s. Opened Burgess Computer Decisions (BCD) in November, as an IT Value Added Distributor building high-availability servers for large corporations - including those three past customers - and morphed into the video surveillance infrastructure space in 2008. Nothing\'s really changed from then until now. We still do build high availability IT servers. We just moved from the black and white of IT data to the technicolor of video surveillance. and at a much grander scale, what with BCD systems recording the video and analytics at both the most highly secured as well as the coolest places in over 90 countries around world. and in outer space, too! Along this path, am most proud of the ability to hire a diverse population of talent, with many team members being with us for over a decade. BCD has always been the land of opportunity as many of those team members continue to work their way up the ladder into management positions. Who better to lead others then those who have done it before them? Talent grows talent.
