About Jeff Briggs
Jeff Briggs has worked exclusively within the real estate valuation industry since 1986. He has worked with both small appraisal companies as well as multinational valuation companies. He has served as an expert witness in several litigation and property tax cases. His valuation experience includes health care facilities (acute care facilities, specialty hospitals and psychology hospitals), medical office buildings and surgical centers. He also has extensive valuation experience in agricultural and food processing industries such as beef, pork, chicken and sheep processing plants. Mr. Briggs has performed appraisals for litigation support, evaluation of buy or sell opportunities, financial reporting purposes, and financing. Other unusual real property valuation assignments have included corporate headquarters, steel rolling mills and splitter lines, copper mines and a smelter in Arizona, a copper coil and wire facility in Texas, oil and natural gas pipeline rights of way and compressor stations, marine transfer and storage terminals, galvanizing plants, and ethanol production facilities. Mr. Briggs is also a leader within the local appraisal industry and is a former President and Board of Director member of the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. He is also a former President of the Dallas / Fort Worth Chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. Jeff is a member of the Board of Directors for the Foundation Appraisers Coalition of Texas (\"FACT\"). He is a certified general appraiser in 21 states.
