ABOUT JEFF BALLIEW

Jeff Balliew, Registered Architect, LEED BD+C, NCARB, joins Thornton Tomasetti’s Dallas office Property Loss Consulting and Forensic core service areas. Mr. Balliew augments the firm’s services to diagnose deficiencies compromising a building’s performance, investigate damage to buildings, analyze pre- and post-loss services to insurance companies and their representative attorneys and adjusters, and conduct condition assessments, due diligence surveys, feasibility studies and peer reviews. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience as a design professional, Jeff can evaluate for standard of care; identify the root cause and origin of damage as a forensic specialist; and seeks to find resolution as a problem solver.Mr. Balliew has an extensive background in the technical aspects of architecture, enabling him to diagnose deficiencies and to restore building performance where required. He brings expertise to Thornton Tomasetti in low, mid and high-rise construction of high-tech, project types including healthcare and laboratory facilities; educational facilities, ranging from K-12 to university facilities; as well as a variety of other project types including adaptive reuse, sustainable, historic and religious.
