The reconstructed and rehabilitated bridges included precast concrete I, precast concrete box beam and steel I-beam superstructures on driven pile foundations designed to carry Cooper E-80 live loads. The walls included cast-in-place, T-walls and soldier pile walls. The bridge and wall reconstruction were inclusive of a 130-mile rail improvement corridor by the Florida East Coast (FECR) and VTUSA to double track the existing FECR corridor for a Florida’s first privately funded high speed rail project. The total project value is $700 million with the bridge construction value of $87.8 million and the wall construction value of $17.5 million. Phase 1, West Palm Beach to Miami, FL: Structures Project Administrator for the complete reconstruction of 12 new bridges, the rehabilitation of 1 existing bridge and the construction of 4 retaining wall structures. The reconstructed included precast concrete I, precast concrete box beam and steel I-beam superstructures on driven pile foundations designed to carry Cooper E-80 live loads. The walls included cast-in-place and MSE walls. The bridge and wall reconstruction were inclusive of a 68-mile rail improvement corridor by the Florida East Coast (FECR) and VTUSA to double track the existing FECR corridor for a Florida’s first privately funded high speed rail project. The total project value is $227.7 million with the bridge construction value of $19.4 million and the wall construction value of $3.1 million.
