I’m a Software Development Engineer at Amazon working in WorldWide Returns & Recommerce (WWRR), building and operating large-scale distributed systems that power customer-facing return experiences.I work as a backend-heavy Java full-stack engineer, taking end-to-end ownership of systems—from HLD/LLD through implementation, deployment, and on-call operations. I’ve developed critical business features for Customer Return Experience (CREX) workflows, including the Return Items and Post Return Experience pages, and designed widgetised architectures supporting reusable components such as Return Status Tracker, Return Instructions, and Item Selection widgets.One of my key contributions was driving the Partial Refunds initiative on ORC, a new resolution that enables proportional refunds for partially damaged but usable items. This initiative addressed gaps in binary refund workflows and helped reduce unnecessary returns and full refunds, unlocking ~$60MM in return GMS savings,~$15.5MM in operational (NCRC) savings, and ~$213MM in projected iGMS impact, while also supporting Amazon’s sustainability goals.I have hands-on experience with Java, Spring, microservices, Kafka-based workflows, and AWS services including ECS, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, and CloudWatch. I enjoy solving complex system-design problems at scale and continuously raising the bar on reliability, operational excellence, and customer experience.
