ABOUT JEEVAN VARMA

As part of my curriculum we have to come up with an open lab project where I have led a team of six members as CAD modeling lead, to work on Swift Wing-Drag and Wake analysis, Where we have generated a model of swift wing using 3D printing and by using a conventional wake rake we have understood the drag analysis over and behind the wing. Under the guidance of Dr.Rajesh Senthil Kumar. I have worked on Altitude Stabilization Of Drones where I have generated a mini model of drone using embedded systems which can automatically stabilize to a particular altitude even after getting exposed to heavy winds or gusts under Prof. Dr Nikhil Kumar Singh. Under the guidance of same professor Apart from my curriculum I have also participated in ADDC SAEINDIA where I have been with a team of nine members working on autonomous drone design I have led the team as a Fabrication Lead and Flow simulation Analyst. Presently I am working for Studies On Film Cooling Of A Semi Cryogenic Rocket Thrust Chamber under the guidance of Dr. A R Srikrishnan from aerospace dept and Dr. Ratna kishore from mechanical dept. As part of this project we got exposed to flow simulation softwares like Ansys Fluent, Ansys ICEM. In my vacation I have got an opportunity to do an internship in one of the most reputed organization I.e. DRDO where I got a chance to work under a Sc F Manoj R on Conjugate Heat Transfer Analysis Of Regeneratively Cooled Panel with an internal guidance from the Prof. Dr Kannan R. I have presented the CFD results of temperatures experienced by the fuel, TBC and metal along the top plate of scramjet engine. I have been to HAL as a student visitor for three days where I had a scope to learn about the radar systems and I observed the assembling and testing process like destructive test, cyclic test, hot and cold test, assembling and testing of circulators of radar components of Su-30. As part of flight testing lab we have proposed an idea for fabricating a test rig for drones where we can easily test the functioning of a drone in a closed room. Which includes pitch, roll, yaw and altitude under the guidance of Dr. Sakthivel and Dr.Rajesh Senthil Kumar.
