In two recent projects I built and managed a team of 20-25 Site Reliability Engineers. Facilitated effective knowledge transfer from outgoing vendor Created various Standard Operating Procedures documents for critical and non-critical scenarios. Implemented backup and purge policy for data, application logs, backups. Optimized Search servers for higher availability and fault tolerance, planned and executed technology learning on WebSphere Commerce for 4 batches to build capacity of IBM WebSphere Commerce / HCL Commerce capability pool. Analyzed, optimised various application queries to be most cost effective and work seamlessly without creating DB locks. Audited server configurations and brought consistency and optimization to achieve sustainability of 3X load.Led team to reduce MTTR through better integration and coaching. Owned and delivered session extension approach in HCL Commerce for mobile users Improved site availability and reliability by streamlining script processing and providing improvement insights to development team Managed relationships with external product vendors like IBM, HCL etc. Implementation of integration with a new Payment Gateway to maintain redundancy in case of non-availability of any payment Gateway Migration of ECommerce Catalog System from a packaged solution to cloud-based GCP custom solution. Used micro services architecture with spring boot to migrate the business logic to microservices layer. Catalog data was migrated to GCP Firestore. Apache Kafka was used for achieving pub/sub integration between on prem PIM system to GCP cloud. This The architecture was done to make sure the fault tolerance and recovery of the system and assure higher system availability to achieve business goals.
