Plans, organizes, evaluates, and produces over 50 events and programs for the Summer Free For All (SFFA) program(Movies in the Park, Concerts in the Park, Washington Park Summer Festival, East Portland Summer Arts Festival)- Serves as primary point of contact for all groups directly involved in a SFFA event, including community partners hosting an event, performing artists, food vendors, and sponsors- Directs the work of 20+ seasonal staff and an assistant producer; trains staff on event setup and coordinates citywide HR trainings; and creates and maintains multi-site, multi-event staff schedule- Books artists, bands, and performers for all events; creates artist contracts, collects ACH and W9 forms, and submits paperwork to establish artists as vendors with the City of Portland- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, including: PP & R Customer Service Center to obtain all necessary park permits; Office of Noise Management to obtain noise variances; Park Rangers and Maintenance Supervisors for safety and trash issues; and a variety of other community and governmental stakeholders to ensure events run smoothly- Troubleshoots onsite issues with staff, artists, sound crew, food vendors, sponsors, community partners, and general public- Initiates the design, creation, and execution of the majority of SFFA’s external and internal communications, including public-facing websites; internal policy summaries/”info sheets”; email templates; and public messaging/marketing copy- Determines which community partners are offered events, with a focus on equity, geographic distribution, programming diversity, and financial sustainability- Manages a portfolio of sponsors and program partners to cultivate current and new partnerships and increase event sponsorship.
