About Jean Yun 吉芸莹
I am an energy economist working in the capacity of Market Validation and Quality Analyst at the California Independent System Operator. Coming from an interdisciplinary academic background, I earned my Ph.D. in Energy Systems and my Master\'s degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics at UC Davis. I am passionate about producing rigorous and policy-relevant analysis to ensure reliability of the electric system and the efficiency of the electricity market. To continue bridging academic research and policy-making, I serve as a member of the Transportation Research Board\'s Economic & Finance Committee, and I have presented my research at various state-level policymaking forums. I am also a passionate educator of environmental economics and policy. Through my teaching at UC Davis and beyond, I\'ve helped inspire students to study the subject of environmental economics and to apply it to understand and to solve environmental problems.
