ABOUT JEAN-PAUL JAEGERS

Investment management leader with 20 years of experience driving asset allocation, multi-asset, and absolute return strategies across institutional, wealth, and insurance platforms. I combine deep expertise in portfolio management, derivatives and quantitative modelling with a strong track record of building a high-performing team and delivering results. As Head of Asset Allocation at Barclays Wealth & Investments, I led a team of senior strategists and quantitative analysts accountable for £12bn. During my tenure, the Strategic Asset Allocation consistently ranked in the top quartile versus peers (ARC, Dec 2024), while the Tactical Asset Allocation achieved five consecutive years of positive alpha. I also successfully integrated two specialist groups into one cohesive team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability. My earlier experience includes shaping tactical asset allocation for Prudential UK’s £90bn life funds, leading global macro research and portfolio strategies at BNP Paribas Asset Management, and taking on interim leadership responsibilities during periods of transition. Across all roles, I’ve consistently delivered investment performance, strengthened research processes, and represented firms with authority in client and media settings.
