I teach Branding and Identity Design at UCSD Extended Studies, an asynchronous course that explores the foundations of branding and its vital role in business success. Students learn to develop strategies that align with audience needs and organizational goals, then translate those strategies into cohesive visual identities. The curriculum covers brand strategy, type systems, color palettes, and comprehensive brand guidelines, with an emphasis on applying market research and segmentation to design decisions. Real-world case studies and hands-on projects help students build skills in 360-degree branding across web, print, social media, packaging, and other platforms, preparing them to create compelling and resonant brand experiences.
