Responsible for the alignment of financial processes and controls across North American Locations that are not currently on Oracle, as well as assist in the calculation and reconciliation of higher-risk technical accounting areas. Accounting support for the local management and FP & A management team, understand local processes and use of legacy systems, monitor and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls. Strong background in accounting and supervisory experience. Demonstrate strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Work well with people at various site locations and within the broader finance function. Currently have 3 FTE direct reports based out of O’Fallon, MO. • Responsible for ensuring proper reporting of financial results, including oversight of various general accounting functions such as month-end close, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations for recently acquired companies not yet on Oracle.• Perform on-site support and accounting-related duties for that location, making sure the site management is well informed and understands financial processes and that internal controls are properly managed. • Understand the functionality and use of the site’s legacy ERP and/or accounting system.• Ensure accounting processes are being performed in compliance with Company-stated internal control procedures and processes.• Review account reconciliations for that site and oversee and assist in resolving any reconciling items.• Act as a lead, or active participant, in projects to support the implementation and integration of financial systems, customer request projects, or lean/productivity improvement projects and processes.• Assist with meeting requests of external auditors by providing required information and ensuring that proper information is maintained for historical purposes.• Provide technical accounting analysis for the calculation and reconciliation for higher-risk financial areas.
