ABOUT JEANNE HUANGLI
Jeanne HuangLi is the Managing Executive Director of Development for Neuro and Vision Sciences at UC Davis Health, responsible for the development of the overall strategic design and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program to include the following clinical, education, and research areas within the School of Medicine: Neurology, Neurological Surgery, Vision Sciences, Psychiatry and the MIND Institute. Her career has spanned academia, business, and philanthropy. Jeanne has worked with a start-up community foundation aimed at promoting strategic philanthropy and social entrepreneurship and has worked successfully with diaspora immigrant communities on philanthropy. At the Asia Foundation, an international development organization working in over 20 countries in Asia, she was responsible for developing successful private fundraising initiatives and infrastructure. Jeanne led federal, state, local, corporate, and private agency relations for the United Way of Anchorage, and her work transitioned into a role as the Founding Director of a Community Technology Resource Database Program that continues to serve as a backbone for information and referral resources for Alaska. She has served as an executive recruiter in the major markets of New York and San Francisco. A returned Peace Corps volunteer(RPCV), Jeanne served as an English as a Second Language teacher and community development volunteer in Eastern Europe. She has been the subject of a Peace Corps PSA campaign and participated in strategic planning for the agency, and served on the board of the National Peace Corps Association. She has been active with recruiting efforts for the Peace Corps as well as serving as an Alumni Student Recruiter and scholarship chair for the University of Michigan in the Bay Area.Jeanne has strong cross-cultural communication skills working with diverse populations. By invitation of Dr. George Kozmetsky, the founder of IC² (Innovation, Creativity and Capital), an economic research institute at UT Austin, she was a visiting scholar studying regional-based economic development.
