ABOUT JEANIE LAI
I\'m passionate about design as an agent of positive change. As an architect and interior designer, I work across multiple scales weaving compelling concepts, craft, and materiality to create authentic places that unite people, cultures, and history. I\'m an active advocate for inclusive and equity-centered design, leading a design process that elevates listening and lived experiences, challenging preconceived ideas and power dynamics to broaden the conversations and possibilities of each project. I believe design should be an expression of care. Architecture has primarily focused on itself as a discourse and not enough on its greater purpose to take care of one another in a socially just and sustainable way. I strive to change the narrative of architecture to make care visible in the why, how, and what I do every day.
