WUNC NC Public Radio is the most trusted and listened to station in the area. Headquartered in Chapel Hill, NC. We cover 2/3rd of the state, west to Greensboro, east to the Outer Banks, and south to Fayetteville. Our listeners are highly educated, affluent, influential, culturally involved and intensely loyal to public radio. In fact we have the highest \"sustainer\" level in the country. 84% of our members contribute on a monthly basis.I am responsible for generating Underwriting Support for WUNC by contacting businesses and organizations. On-air and digital schedules are available. My cumulative sales: Jan 2018-June 30, 2024 $2,744,994.36. Average of 95 clients per year. In addition to my work responsibilities, I have served on hiring committees and assisted with station community engagement activities. Since July 2020 I have served on the WUNC Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accountability Committee (I.D.E.A). I served as the Chairperson July 2021 - June 2022. Key priorities include- including hiring more minority staff; partnering with organizations that center minorities, sponsoring anti racism resources for staff, facilitating public dialogue about race and equity beyond our mostly-White listeners and supporters; creating a fund designated to hire more contractors, freelancers and temporary workers of color, high-level training on anti-racism and bias for all managers, and acknowledging systemic racism within WUNC today. Currently I serve on the Events Committee.
