About Jean Robinson

Friends say I ask a lot of questions—even when I’m not working. It’s just part of my nature. I’m curious about everything and constantly hunger for knowledge. As a child, I dreamed of being a news reporter and immediately worked towards that goal. So in true Barbara Walters’s style, I interviewed everyone around me. I soon learned that everybody has a story inside them and if you take the time to listen, you will be inspired. As an adult, my dream came true. I got my first full-time TV job as a college student and won a local Emmy award for editing. After college, I became a TV reporter. Today, I am an award-winning video producer and creative storyteller. I have traveled across the United States and around the world interviewing hundreds of people and sharing their stories on television and the Internet. I love working on location. Just say the word, I’ll pack my bags and go anywhere. I am passionate about documentaries, travel and lifestyle stories. Video is amazing. It can transport viewers anywhere. It can give them a chance to see what life is like for people they will never meet. The videos I enjoy watching and creating are the ones that can educate as well as entertain. I embrace and celebrate changes. I am fascinated by the constantly changing technology of video production-probably because I’m a bit of a nerd (don’t get me talking about Sci-Fi or Doctor Who). One of my goals includes producing virtual reality videos. There are plenty of stories out there that need to be told and I’m ready to tell them creatively and compassionately.
