Facilitator, Academic Program Review Workshop @Higher Learning Commission

View department →

I co-lead interactive workshops that guide institutions as they build impactful, mission-aligned academic program review processes. Through a mix of plenaries, team-based activities, and peer consultations, I and a fellow facilitator guide campus teams in developing review plans that are both strategic and sustainable.

ABOUT JEAN REDEKER

Strategic, collaborative, and policy-driven, I bring almost three decades of leadership experience in higher education—spanning academic affairs, student services, accreditation, regulatory compliance, distance education, and cross-institutional coordination. As Assistant Vice Provost at the University of Kansas, I lead and support initiatives that shape academic programming, drive institutional performance, and ensure alignment with state and federal standards. My work bridges operational execution with strategic vision, always keeping people and purpose at the forefront.Previously, I served as Vice President for Academic Affairs at the Kansas Board of Regents, where I oversaw governance and coordination across 32 institutions, led systemwide initiatives on performance funding, transfer, and advised on state-level legislative matters. I’ve built and led high-performing teams, managed multimillion-dollar budgets, and earned national recognition for innovation in continuing education and advising.I thrive in complex, dynamic environments where policy meets practice and managing multiple priorities and deadlines is key. I’m especially passionate about using data and strategy to support meaningful decision-making — and I’m always looking for opportunities to share what I’ve learned.
