ABOUT JEAN MOSCAROLA

Scientific Advisor & Majority Shareholder at Le Sphinx. Now an emeritus professor at University Savoie Mont Blanc, I graduated from HEC (France) before turning to research. During my doctorate in Applied Economics at Paris Dauphine University, I specialised in quantitative methods. Very early on, however, my interest in the concrete world and pragmatic attitude led me down the path of applied research. I went on to found Sphinx-Développement, designing my first software programmes. The company is now the French market leader in survey and data analysis software, offering a range of software used by thousands of professionals in all sectors of the economy, education, and research. Our solutions enable cross-channel surveys and can be fully integrated into voice of the customer or work climate processes. Historically oriented towards decision support, with a dual quantitative and qualitative approach, we have been able to turn our tools into collaborative and action-oriented platforms to enable the dissemination of customer culture at all levels. Working simultaneously as a teacher-researcher and consultant, I occupy a unique place in the management research landscape thanks to my long experience in both the university and corporate worlds. Over the last 20 years, I have continued my work, taking advantage of new information and communication technologies to renew research methods in the social sciences and marketing. I am also the author of numerous publications and a book on survey methods and data analysis.
